Specializing in Pediatric Physical Therapy
"New moons represent new beginnings. Their energy is used to set intentions, achieve goals, and reflect on past achievements."
At New Moon Therapy Services LLC, growth and physical development are facilitated by establishing and progressing towards individualized goals that are meaningful to each child and family. We always strive for the highest level of function, independence, and quality of life.
Physical Therapists help improve balance, coordination, mobility, range of motion, strength, and endurance. Children may require physical therapy if gross motor milestones (i.e., rolling, sitting, crawling, walking, jumping) are not met as expected or if they are having difficulty physically keeping up with same-aged peers. Physical therapy can help give little ones the boost they may need to play, learn, and explore without limitation.
Not sure if your child is meeting their milestones or presenting with delays? Contact to schedule a FREE developmental screening!
"BabyNet is South Carolina’s interagency early intervention system for infants and toddlers under three years of age with developmental delays, or who have conditions associated with developmental delays." Children may be eligible for therapy services at no charge to the family. New Moon Therapy Services LLC is a proud BabyNet provider. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about BabyNet.
Children who may not qualify for BabyNet or who have aged out of the BabyNet system may still be eligible for natural environment-based physical therapy services, depending on the insurance company. Providing therapy in the natural environment (i.e., home, daycare, playground) can be beneficial in order to address specific challenges encountered in everyday life.

She moved to Charleston soon after graduating and began her career as a pediatric physical therapist. She has training in DMI, TMR Tots, and TASES. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, working with children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, Spina Bifida, and Torticollis. She loves helping little ones develop their gross motor skills through fun and play. Rachel founded New Moon Therapy Services in 2022. She enjoys mentoring and collaborating with the therapists on her team and appreciates having a deeper understanding of billing and insurance to better help serve her families through the whole treatment process. When Rachel is not working, she enjoys going to the beach, doing yoga, traveling, and seeing live music.
Pediatric PTA
Sydney is originally from Florence, SC. She graduated from the PTA program at Horry Georgetown Technical College in 2019, where she also met her husband. She moved to Charleston in 2020 where she began her PTA career. She initially worked in outpatient orthopedics for almost 3 years before discovering her true passion and making the switch to pediatrics with New Moon in 2023. She has since obtained certifications in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), and TMR Tots. She has experience with children ages 4 months to 8 years old with diagnoses including general gross motor delay, prematurity, Torticollis, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. While she has no favorites, she really enjoys working with infants and helping kiddos take their first steps. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband and their two pups, Middie and Marley, travel, and exercise. Her and her husband are major foodies, always on the hunt for a new favorite restaurant.

Hope received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. Hope’s specialty is progressing infant milestones, especially post-NICU, with additional trainings in comprehensive treatment of plagiocephaly and torticollis, Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), and bodywork for infants and children. Hope has experience treating children with a wide range of diagnoses, including Cerebral Palsy, rare genetic conditions, Autism, developmental delays, Down Syndrome, and Torticollis. She especially loves showing families fun, creative ways to promote gross motor play with what is already in their home or favorite local playgrounds. When Hope is not treating, she is busy chasing her own toddler at local playgrounds, enjoying a day at Folly beach, or baking sourdough treats.
